Who operates this site. This website and related chat-bot interfaces are operated by Weimpa Inc., a Delaware (USA) corporation, 700 N Fairfax St, Ste 614, Alexandria, VA 22314.
What WeSafeLocal (WSL) is. A messenger-native classifieds & community layer: 1-click listings into local feeds, AI semantic discovery, and chat-first buyer↔seller conversations. Optional protected checkout is integrated via licensed third-party escrow/KYC providers; WSL itself does not custody client funds or act as a payments institution.
Platform, not seller or agent. Listings are posted by users/partners; WSL does not own, broker, or control them and is not a party to buyer-seller contracts unless explicitly stated in a separate agreement.
UAE posture (addendum). The site is US-operated; WSL does not offer local offline services in the UAE. For UAE users we apply stricter content limits and may adapt/limit features to comply with local norms (see AUP and Tavern below).
Safety. Use built-in reporting, community rules, and (where available) escrow/KYC. Meet in public places and follow local laws. WSL may down-rank, hide, or remove content; repeat violators can be suspended.
Age & Tavern (21+)
Tavern is a social community/board about venues, events and nightlife plans. It is not an alcohol shop, delivery, or advertising surface. WSL does not accept orders or payments for alcoholic beverages.
Age-gate: Access is limited to users of legal drinking age in their jurisdiction (typically 21+). You must confirm age to enter.
No alcohol advertising or CTAs: No brand promos, coupons, prices, or “order now” messaging. Neutral, venue-level information only. When relevant, non-alcoholic options should be visible (e.g., 0% labels).
UAE-specific: For users identified as in the UAE, Tavern content remains informational; alcohol-brand elements and promotional language are suppressed.
Respect & consent: Social discovery must remain civil; no adult services or insinuations. Violations lead to removal.
Venue duty: Any licensing or ID-check obligations rest with venues, not WSL.
Content Guidelines
The following are prohibited (examples, non-exhaustive):
Sale/delivery/advertising of alcohol or tobacco; illegal drugs or precursors.
Weapons/explosives, military gear; spyware/surveillance devices.
Pornography, escorting or adult services; harassment, hate or incitement.
Political/religious agitation; content attacking public order or culture.
Counterfeit goods; IP-infringing content; any item requiring licenses that the seller lacks.
Moderation. Automated (AI) and human review; we may remove listings, restrict accounts, or share reports with competent authorities where legally required.
UAE addendum. In addition to the above, alcohol-related promotion (including surrogate/indirect forms), political/religious content, and “18+” materials are restricted; we may geo-adapt or withhold features/content for UAE users to comply with local regulations.
Privacy & Data
What we collect. Minimal profile data, listing content/metadata, message/interaction metadata, device and performance logs; vector embeddings to deliver sub-second semantic search; moderation signals.
Why we collect it. To operate listings/search, route content to relevant feeds, prevent abuse, and improve quality/UX. Limited analytics may be used to measure performance and reliability.
Sharing. With service providers under contract (e.g., hosting, storage, moderation, optional escrow/KYC). We don’t sell personal data.
Retention. Kept as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law/escrow obligations; then deleted or anonymized.
Your rights. Access/correction/erasure or export where applicable. Contact sz@weimpa.me.
Terms (Short)
No warranties. Listings are provided “as-is” by users/partners; WSL does not warrant accuracy, availability or quality of items.
Liability cap. To the extent allowed by law, WSL’s total liability for paid services is limited to the fees paid for the relevant period. WSL is not liable for user-to-user transactions.
Payments/escrow. Optional protected checkout and KYC are provided by licensed third parties under their terms; WSL is an integrator, not a financial institution.
Governing law. Unless a separate contract says otherwise, these site terms are governed by the laws of Virginia, USA, with venue in Alexandria, VA courts. Users are responsible for complying with local laws (incl. UAE) in their conduct and content.
Changes. We may update policies; continued use means acceptance of the latest version.
